So a fomar, lvl 15, named Braska was asking someone to lend him some units in lobby. I was afk at time of him asking. Nobody was able to help, so I returned, looked at the chat log, and saw that he had made a game titled something like god minds. Since I had a few heavenly minds, I was happy to help out. It can be tough starting at this stage.

I joined the game, and after some discussing techs, handed over 3 h minds and 1 cent ability. This is not the first time I have leant units to newbs, but tbh, it felt sketchy. As you can tell from the chat log, something was a bit off. Comments like, "you have a lot of techs," "I don't need to keep them if they're not spare," "you have a fo?" I was about to do a game but I thought I'd quickly help him out. He took a long time with my units. I honestly wanted to abort but once I handed them over, I couldn't do much but wait patiently. He asked me to send him my guild card, I did. He didn't send it back. I then told him I needed to go, politely, as people were waiting for me. He then quit game, and I've looked for him since but no luck. It's possible he dc'd but if I dc'd with someone's units I'd rush to give them back. It was all very sketchy and honestly when i was waiting in the pioneer for him to hand them back I had a feeling this would happen.
Please have a look at the chat log below. I know not much can be done now and I accept all responsibility, I'll learn from my mistake and not do that in the future. Shame though as all 4 units were my brothers and I did 10 or so bpd on VH and was unable to get a cent ability. I was using those h minds on my low level fo so he could equip weapons such as glide divine. A shame, as this spoils it for players who aren't about that life. Just a warning for other players, be weary, and watch out for this guy.

Wow brutal! Here's hoping it was a mistake and he'll track you down still. Sorry about your loss, I often lend stuff to newbies to learn techs so I don't blame you. Going to be more cautious now too. This isn't good for anyone..

Ty man, he may well track me down (possibly after seeing this) just alarm bells suggested to me he's playing for keeps!

JEEBUS....mew mew runs this horror EVERY TIME she loans out her Precious MIND mag. Her routine at first with any of them is a passive warning..."Can u send mew your card plz?....That way if you poof with her mag, she and Staff can HUNT YOU DOWN...." ...Think it may convey to others Not to RUN with the items? HOPEFULLY it was an il'timed disconnect and not a hustle...008419 kinda rolls off the tongue so spotting that account and hounding them won't be a problem if MEW spots their ass... *prays for your Sanity and Faith in noobs needing halp can be restored* <3!

This is why I spent hours feeding my own pure MND MAG. I wouldn't ask anyone to give me anything they weren't prepared to lose forever. I will steal your crap and never talk to you again, just ask anime.
 
100% rekt. Rip my units... Guess I won't be making that new foney after all ;p

All jokes aside though. Despite the evident lack of good communication from the perpetrator in question, (which raises alarm bells in the first instance), this is not far off from being theft.

Obviously this guy thought he could take advantage of my brothers friendly nature, and hit the jackpot and run away with some units. (I know 99% of players aren't like this ;p)

Is there a way to restore stolen items?

Lol classic PSO right there, seen this too many times. I learned the first time I saw this happen to someone else on Scht, never lent to randoms myself. DTA you dont know.
 
After seeing such things happen both in games and real life (and experiencing it personally). I just keep my guard up and assume everyone is guilty until proven innocent.

I know it isn't the best approach but its what I chose to do.
 
If an admin or gm feels like finding this person and taking the items before its too late ( lol if its not already) here is his ranger

I've actually seen this ranger guy a couple times in lobby before, like a couple days ago. Fingers crossed he comes on again, and i can ask for the items back.

Otherwise please, yes if an admin or gm could help with this it would be very appreciated.

Guys, keep your eyes peeled for this guy ;p
