Oh, wow! You’ve even listed its Rare! I was thinking on the weakness, you probably wouldn’t want to insert a graphic, so it’d just be colored text. (orange Fire, light blue Ice, etc.)
That add-on is gonna be so much better!
 
Just wanna say I love the dropbox addon, super useful and a very natural and intuitive way to display drops. I really appreciate the work you're doing, and this monster reader idea also looks really cool! Super excited to use it if it comes to fruition.
 
I've pushed a hotfix crashing the addon when more items are tracked than there are available trackers. So I recommend redownloading.

Why do you not like it?

It looks like it could use some cleanup. It's near-perfect for the only things I personally wanted to see. The Name, Weakness, and HP Bar.
The boxes don't lock size to a width longer than the enemy name, and there's a small line of colors above the HP Bar. Then, of course, there's the room-only issue.

I don't mean any disrespect, displaying stuff on top of the mobs looks awesome, but is it a good idea ? At first thought I don't see any real use.

It is how much of the total hp you'll do with Normal (green), Heavy (orange) and Special(same color as item reader). You can also see how likely your next attack will be with how grey the color is. So in this pic, I'm not likely to land my Berserk spec, much more likely to land the Heavy and very likely to land my Normal attack on the 1st attack of the combo

1732212931293.png freeze trap, and now frozen - same amount of damage but the Berzerk special accuracy goes from maybe ~10% to ~40%, so with three berzerks (assuming I land the 1st hit) it should die. If I did only Normals it would take like 8-12.

This is in a TTF run, so last room before the boss. You can see the slime's origin entity (configurable) so if you were playing cast you could always see where to damage trap.

In the boss fight you can see all the segments including the "actual" boss hp and bosses "skull" hp. Notice how the boss has J/Z 20 everywhere, particularly the head segments, so you can tell if the tentacle attack will be reduced, like if it didn't have Jellen 20 or 30.

and of course you're able to see what section id it is (whitill) by the drop text color and what that monster would drop. So when everyone rushes past, you can sit back, keep swingin, and be "that guy"

you can see where Vol Opt actually is, so you know where to cannon rouge or [gi/ra]zonde.

If you're willing to deal with some heavy refactors and reinstalling every few days you can find the current version in my github. Just don't spend hours configuring the addon how you like, b/c it will require a completely fresh delete of any settings you might have changed from now to the full release.

Ever thought of making the elements on screen bigger or smaller based on the camera's distance from them? Or do they do that now?

From the pictures I've seen, it looks like the text is always the same size.

I have thought about it but, given my limited mathematic skills (not saying I couldn't figure it out, just takes awhile longer in tedium), I opted against it for now. This in conjunction with PsoBB.exe being an absolute cpu core destroyer, it leaves a great deal less room for these additional computations before fps is impacted. If it were at all possible to have the PSO Lua addons spawned in on a separate core, or the PsoBB.exe process optimized to not max cpu cores I'd think it worth doing for the immersion factor.
