Just found June Tabor. Her voice is growing on me. I find myself liking this song more with every listen.

This is one of the disks that has survived the years. I think its.. in my car still. Yes I have and listen to cds in my car.

Recently picked up their latest album, always been a bit of a fan of Japanese metal, but these guys are sick. Melodic Death Metal, it's been stuck on repeat since I got it!

 
Veterans day (USA) is coming up on the 11th. I learned thru this song that Australia / New Zealand has such a day as well. It's called ANZAC day. April 25 next year will be the 103rd anniversary. I looked into the background of this particular song and it's about a battle fought at Gallipoli April 25, 1915. The day is in remembrance of all the soldiers who died there.
The Allied casualties included 21,255 from the United Kingdom, of which were some 4000 Irish soldiers from the Royal Irish Fusiliers, an estimated 10,000 dead soldiers from France, 8,709 from Australia, 2,721 from New Zealand.
