The Direct3d device has been lost and cannot be restored.

I don't get this error often, but every once in a while an error pops up about direct3d and closes the game.


These are the settings I've been running it on.

It happened to me when another app called for hardware acceleration (Chrome on my end). But it was very random.

Any idea how to fix it or diagnosis whats causing it? This is my 3rd time now and it really sucks to just randomly dc an hour into a zone.

Well, doesn't look like you're playing full screen. Are you using an ATI graphics card? If so, try disabling the Radeon Overlay (Adrenalin) or whatever. I've seen it where it causes this exact problem sometimes.

Also, recently, there has been a bug with Google Chrome and ATI graphics cards with hardware acceleration. If you're noticing it crash while having Chrome open, try disabling hardware acceleration in Chrome.

i use a gtx 1080 and firefox on my other monitor. i keep a brower open with a tv show playing the entire time i play. i can play a majority of the time like that no problem, just every once in a while i crash.
