single stat dump into a MAG

curious as to whether or not it would be possible to get a mag where everything is dumped into one stat like a mag with 1/1/1/200 or smth like that.
 
Since no one answered (probably because this could've been put in "Quick Question - Quick Answers"), but...maybe? Depends on your definition of everything dumped into one stat.

If you're referring to having DEF at 200 and every other stat at 0, then that's statistically impossible, since no matter what you feed the basic mag (which starts with 5 DEF and 0 in everything else, no matter where you get it), you'll always boost one of the other stats before it evolves.

If what you're referring to is a mag that has the starting 5 DEF and 195 in another stat, then it could be possible to have one like this. However, it would require:
  1. Knowing what stat you want to push to 195;
  2. Knowing the mag tables and which mag gets which table;
  3. How to evolve to and maintain ideal 3rd-evo mags for the desired stat (since further evolution outside of 3rd form will be impossible without a mag cell); and
  4. The best feeding routine to use to ensure that only the desired stat levels up.
Ideally, though? You'd be better off not trying. Even if it was possible to make, the amount of effort that would be needed to make a 5 DEF / 195 ??? mag - even to pass over to a new character, would not be worth it compared to making, say, a 5 DEF / 45/50 DEX / 145/150 ??? mag with ideal Photon Blasts and 4th evo/cell.

It is possible to make a perfect 200 def Mag, I have 2 that i commissioned to use for power leveling new characters. Def is the only one that can get the full 200 though

Last I checked this is only available through the console mags, aka Mark 3, Genesis, Dreamcast, etc. Though not sure why you'd want a 200 DEF mag in the first place outside of collecting purposes, 200 DEF doesn't do anything to help power level a character.
 
195 MIND, DEX, and POW mags can be particularly useful for low levels when starting new chars. They are made using a mark III mags as others have mentioned. They are some of the easiest mags to feed and the pretty cheap so it’s almost always worth it. It does have the downside of no-pb, though. However people rarely 4 way PB and if the party really wants to do that then they should really just /pk and do it at the beginning of the quest and then you can reequip the mark 3 after.

DEF used to kind of be useful back when the HardCore game mode was available. So you could maybe get past some stronger enemies normal attacks like a hildelt punch while leveling a fonewearl. It could also be useful for leveling in OPM for the same reasons and in similar situations so you don’t get 1-tapped and won’t have to waste time/scapes as much.

On the topic in general though 195 DEX mags are notably super useful because you can have a level 80 RA class be essentially endgame by using a 195 DEX mag and a few h/arms units to yellow-out ATA (or get really close to it and cap in a couple levels) at level 80 (and then spam demons/hell/arrest/blizzard etc with the same rates as a maxed level 200 to proc the special).

It’s always funny to head into a public lobby with a fresh level 80 but actually you’re carrying 8 ES weapons and have maxed ATA lol.
