Quick question - Quick answer

I have a compact keyboard on my laptop so my page up/page down/end/home keys are all on the numpad. I was able to map symbol chat to tenkey 1 (my end key) - is there a place to change the others? I've tried toggling numlock but the game registers it as tenkey numbers either way.

Please I am begging to scroll my team chat!

Anyone please tell me how does instant unsealing work I saw people selling this service and I have no idea how they make it "instant" ?

There is no actual instant unseal of the specific item you gave, they all take time and kills to unseal, its just some people have stock of the same item already unsealed and trade right away.

Got it ! Thanks so much

What's the differences between TypeGU/MECHGUN and TypeME/MECHGUN? When would you choose one over the other (assuming the same special)

Is the ATA value listed on the wiki (280) wrong for Sinow Blue and Red?

I have over 1400 EVP, but apparently this isn't enough to perfectly block them (tested in SU3). Even adding a few PoSS, I'm still occasionally getting hit.

Yes and no.
Monsters essentially have base stats like player characters. That's what the Enemies page shows.
They have attacks with different stats much like characters have weapons with a defined range and angle too (although sometimes these attacks are hardcoded to never miss, or to apply variable fixed damage type). EP1 Sinows have 50 ATA on their regular punches. Most enemies with 'regular physical damage' attacks like that have 50 ATA for their attacks.
Some enemies like Mothmants/Mothverts have higher ATA for their attacks (120 iirc). Might be others, I don't remember.

It's wildly inconsistent how Sega implemented all of this.

I think the enemies page can stay as it is and maybe the attacks be added to the page for the individual monster, but that's a lot of tedious effort to verify all of the parameters and client behavior.

Thank you for the explanation, that makes sense.

I'd tried searching before asking and found a similar question from @hushmunkey last year and watched the linked video. But I missed your comment on YouTube which explained this already, until just now after noticing @DM 경호 pointed it out too.

So thank you again for repeating yourself. Game mechanics are fun. Maybe just a summary belongs under #Accuracy?

It's worth noting too, that you can be afflicted with status even if you block the attack.

True, if it's a defense block specifically. Thank you.
I could be wrong, but in my experience - even an evasive "block" can result in status affliction. My HUCL doesn't really have a lot of dfp & it's happened to her (with ~1400+ geared EVP).
Not that it's necessary, but I like to think of "blocking" as "guarding" instead, with dfp-based guards as "blocks" & evp-based guards as "parries."
But like Ender said, the game's a little wild with what it applies as fixed dmg/ata/etc.. Defensive (dfp or evp) capabilities can be really useful if you want to exploit them, but there's definitely some nuance to learn aside from just dfp/evp breakpoints.

This is an old school PSO question. On PSO GameCube or Dreamcast, mags can cast reverser to revive you in offline single player mode (there’s a % chance). But I can’t find any info on which mags can do this, and what the odds are. Anyone have links to any info on this? I’m playing PSO on GC and want a revive mag to help solo the dungeons

Probably better to ask in a PSOGC community.

Are you playing on a patched gamecube ISO or vanilla? There is a common 'mag reverser' patch somewhere that makes some changes to how it works. The trigger by default has lower priority than another trigger check which causes it to rarely activate (lower priority than the 1/10 HP and PB checks IIRC).

These mags have Reverser as a death trigger and the specified 'boost' is next to it (if no 'boost', the trigger rate is just the mag trigger rate). There's no real name for these, so I'll just use 3 and 4 which are explained here: https://wiki.pioneer2.net/w/Mags#Additional_trigger_adjustments
The "negative" boost is explained above that link.

I quickly typed up this list after checking the ItemPMT for BB and GC match for the V3 mags. To check the list of mags yourself (note that Soly's PMT Editor has weird names for the trigger boosts 3 and 4)...
Soly has a PMT editor for Gamecube here: https://www.pioneer2.net/community/threads/solys-stash.1001/
You can get the ItemPMT.prs from your ISO or newserv: https://github.com/fuzziqersoftware/newserv/tree/master/system/item-tables

Thanks very much. This got pretty complicated pretty fast. Appreciate the info, I’ll look into a modified iso.

Fomarl I just got 30 tonight (pfp is from my last version of her) . I am trying to figure out the best way to make meseta/lvl solo**. New to server but I have played PSO since before US launch and every version since including a few servers. ANYWAY I am struggling a bit with meseta and a little frustrated with starting over this time and could use some advice for this server since I haven't played in a few years and I know nothing about the custom quests.

TLDR; What is the best n00b method of making meseta and leveling solo** here.

** I say solo because I feel weird having to go up to the ship and sell constantly and making everyone wait for me.

PW3 box runs; people also purchase 1pd for ~500k meseta.

Is there a way to make enemy difficulty scale with the number of players?

My partner and I just started and are playing with just us, but the enemies have *so* much HP and hit really hard. We're still having fun but it would be nice if they would scale down slightly.

Is there a setting somewhere we may have missed?
