Quick question - Quick answer

So I'm too lazy to check around for myself, but does the game work on linux now?

Nothing wrong it for the most part and it can be useful for things like transferring, using alternative IDs on other accounts to make games for you, getting yourself a 4-way PB for a 2-player game with a friend, etc. etc.

If you're worried about people abusing for drops, don't worry. The PSO2 drop system has a floor check (you need to be in the same map to get drops) and also a radius check (meaning you need to be in range to get the drop). If there's other issues you have with multiclienting, it'd be better to bring them up so we can figure out a way to stop it, because we'd rather not get rid of it because of people who play on the same PC or need to transfer between accounts.
well I mean, how big is the radius? couldn't someone just bring in a level whatever racaseal with 4 h/bodys and stand in the middle of a WoF forest and just use a racast/ramarl/ramar/fowhatever to just kill and reap x2 drops? And to not attack WoF, wouldn't it be just as easy to do it in any MA game on 1/4 for easy Mil spam with x2 rewards or ep4 for the same. It just seems as though there should be a lot more regulation on it to me. Or just make all banks accessible character or shared from all 32 character slots and just eliminate the multiclienting. And when it comes to 4way pbs, I don't know why that'd be okay, since that's legitimately abusing the system for getting sd and promotes not inviting fos. And for making for certain IDs, you should make it more of a pain, to me at least, because that just allows isolationism in an online game. Seems silly to me but hey. I'm just asking because I think I see if abused. Or at least I assume since I see people doing runs with their alt accounts during quests instead of leaving. To me if you can use it to get pbs and not get drops you can detect the certain ids, so it wouldn't be too far to me to think that you could just straight disable drops if they're in the same room.

The radius is not that large. You're worrying about nothing.

Preferably, multi-clienting shouldn't go for numerous reasons, the biggest being people playing BB on the same computer (it does happen, believe it or not) and being able to solo CM (you don't get S-Rank for this, you definitely need people and you have to actually walk to the end to get a clear as well).

If there's issues, it's better to attack the issue instead of just "remove multiclienting" because chances are fixing the issue would stop people exploiting in ways such as AFK'ing mid game and whatnot.

My roommate and I haven't played in awhile. What's a fun, relatively-new quest?
The two newest additions (excluding the April Fool's quest, which is removed already) are Random Attack Xrd Stage Ep2 and Lost Son Hopkins, both have some fans. Not sure what else you considers to be "relatively-new", since the others were already added last time you played.

Is the From The Depths Shield possible to get on this server? And if it is, how would I acquire one?

Not Soda but I can answer!

No.

Honestly it'd be neat if there were weapons with identical stats but different looks. For example, I vastly prefer Twin Swords with photon blades, but really the only way to have a competitive one is to have a capped S-Rank with a sacrificial special... except you can't have hit on it, which leads it to fall short. Having a photon blade version of Jizai would be nice for that (I imagine it having the color effect that 9-star rares in V2 had for some reason, just as a throwback).

Iunno, I think it'd be neat x3 Visual variations on top-tier weapons is kinda necessary since Blue Burst added a bunch of "this one weapon blows everything else in the category out of the water" whereas V3 at least had a couple things relatively close in power in most weapon categories.

Just want to make sure i dont mess anything up but as long as my character level is above level 20 i can type that specific command and change my ID to something else once per character correct?

I believe it's under level 20. I can't log in right now to check but /modname and /modsecid can both be used once as long as the character is under level 20.

When switching between between your character rosters on a single account, do they ALL share one common bank? Or does each group of 4 have their own common bank?

They share the same bank. Would have been hardly any point to 32 slots otherwise (and would have made it more difficult to transfer since you can't double-log an account).

Is there any weapon, class, monster, or situation where the katana animation is at least as useful as (let alone more useful than) the standard saber animation, or is it just Sega's trollish way of making half of the rare sabers in the game even less useful than they otherwise would be?

I was going to be all smart and say, "Sure katanas have a use - you can convert them into Twin Swords!" But then I noticed that you said katana animations, so... no. I don't think there is.

Katanas have cool points and I want to like them in the worst way, even forcing myself to use them exclusively on one character after watching Kill Bill. But man. One of my biggest PSO disappointments over the years was making my first Orotiagito after years of hunting and finding out that it was basically useless.
