Hello Ephenia!

Today I will be officially rewarding placements on the PSOStats Anniversary Leaderboard for this year!

This leaderboard tracks your overall lap time for the entire MAE Series of quests! All you need to do is have PSOStats running while you play, and it will automatically fill in your times and submit them on the board. Here's an image of what that leaderboard looks like!

For those of you who place in the Top 10 of this leaderboard by the time the event ends, you will receive rewards! This top 10 list of course excludes myself (No Hit) so you won't need to worry about that.

As you can see, top 10 hasn't even filled yet, so these rewards are practically free as it stands. You just need to finish a lap!

Additional rewards may be added in the future, so keep an eye on the thread.

These players providing to the total pot will not receive any part of the rewards, and as such their rewards will be passed down.
No Hit (100pd)
Phelix (100pd)
Alaco (400pd)

Ties will only be accepted if it is the same group of players running together in the lap. If there is a tie by the second mark between two players of different runs (lets say two players get 61:00) PSOStats will automatically place the actual faster lap above the other (i.e. 61:00.191 vs 61:00.489)

Each player involved will be rewarded in the event of a tie. So if there were a 4-way tie at 10th place, 13 players would be rewarded 20 PDs. However, if there's a tie above 10th place, for instance a 4-way tie at 7th place, this absorbs all the corresponding places below it, and as such 10 players get rewarded.

Since I've been asked a few times, the anniversary leaderboard only counts runs that are:
* Normal mode (not sandbox)
* Run on Ephinea
* Photon blast was not used/charged before the quest

You are allowed to lower your hp and cast shifta prior to the quest starting.

What if I form a group and that whole group is tied for 9th place with the exact same time? Would each of the 4 get 10 PDs or something?
 
I can't speak for No Hit but IF there's an exact tie at 9 I'll just pay out to however many people. Beware though psostats/client timing isn't that accurate, you'll probably have some variation

edit: I like No Hit's reply better, let's go with that

Here's an update for you...

Top 10 has now filled, with the 10th place being a lap time of 51"46! Not bad, but I'm sure this is beatable. I hope more of you will complete laps as the whole page hasn't even filled up yet.

Hey, that's pretty good! We're already close to beating the sum of best from last year despite Episode 1 seemingly being so behind.

We've also had new records in the 4p category of Temple, CCA, and Seabed! Not to even mention all the 3p records that I've probably missed. I'm hoping we could see a potential sub 40 lap time this year. Good luck!

We've smashed last year's lap time and finally hit the sub 40 minute mark!

Also worth noting mewkey's 4p group MAE: Desert run coming down to an insane 2"43, a massive improvement over their run from last year of 3"03. Definitely worth a watch, so I'll post it here.

Hello everyone!

Thanks to a generous man named Alaco, 400pds have been added to the prize pool!

Additionally, as part of Alaco's request, the rewards will now be extended to the Top 12 of the leaderboard! That's 50pds per player!!!

I'm too lazy to do another comparison post right now, however I would like to remind everyone that with the extension of the event comes your time to shine and claim those rewards!

Since our last checkup, 12th place has gone from 50:54 to 46:05. That's almost 5 minutes, which is an incredible improvement. Last year's equivalent placement was a 47:21

Mewkey has also broken the sub-40 minute lap time! Congratulations!

It's incredible that the best possible lap time got to sub 39 minutes. I remember last year we thought a sub 40 would be "stretching it". This goes to show just how much we've improved and how far we've come to push this game's limits. Sub 38 minutes will absolutely be the goal for next year, and who knows what will be discovered by then to help us with achieving that.

I want to thank everyone who participated and showed enthusiasm for this type of event. I'll be doing more like this in the near future.

I didn't have nearly as much time to play as last year but it's fun to see how much of the strats I still remembered as well as trying new ones when I did get the opportunity to optimize for hours and hours with the same group, like Seabed.

Special shoutout to the event extension & Mewkey reminding me to improve my lap time; without either I wouldn't have been able to place in the top 12.

Thanks for keeping track of the progression again, it was enjoyable this year too!
 
My time is not posted because I am not registered with stats, but I had a lot of fun playing with various people through my friend mewkey.
I'm slow at speaking English, but I'd be happy if you could play with me next time.
And I will register for stats next year.
