I didn't actually skim the entire chart (I wasn't wearing my glasses), did anything else get fucked like that one vol opt drop did? lol

(Also again, Whitill RR buff pls. Make it like 10% easier than the other IDs or something - eg: 167.562. It only got changed back to 1/64 by accident and no one bothered to fix T_T)

Yes, all Ill Gill drops are slightly easier now.

For example, Nei's Claw is now 1/25k, when it should be 1/28k. All other drops are slightly better as well. Maybe the DAR is wrong by a small amount?
 
I agree that RR needed this change, but HUs need access to an intermediate ATA-boosting item. Any RA who detests hunting Red Ring can skip the entire hunt by using RA Wall and just having 20 less ATP (which is like 4 damage). I think most people would agree that PSO places too much emphasis on ATA already.

S-Parts 2.01 partially solves the problems for Casts, but HUmar and HUnewearl, already two of the worst classes in the game, get shafted the worst by this.

HU Wall currently gives what, 15 ATP? (Which is absolutely stupid that it actually gives less ATP than RA Wall gives ATA considering that 1 ATA is basically worth 10 ATP). Perhaps it should be changed to give 10 to 15 ATA, as well.

A Lv. 180+ HUcast will get by with S-parts 2.01, which is doable thanks to Coren, but if you're a Lv. 180+ HUmar or HUnewearl without a Red Ring, you may as well not even show up.

Also, it might be too rare. I think 1/64 was a bit too easy but maybe 1/100 or 1/128 woulda been better? Considering I went 280 Dark Falzes without a RR when the rate was 1/64, there could easily be people who kill him 1500+ times and don't get one. That's pretty brutal.

I'm very thankful I was able to buy a couple while they were "cheap." I'm calling it now: Min. stat RR is going to be 85 PDs in a week.

On a positive note: I love the other changes. Purplenum HS really needed to be relaxed a bit, so this is nice.

Casts win again.

Thanks, I just noticed something "odd" about the numbers after skimming pso-worlds charts for a while.
(Which, for Ep1 + Ep2, should still be correct excluding boss drops, right?)
 
EDIT: Hmm, it's changed for some reason, weird, I'll have a look.

Unless you fixed it literally right now, it hasn't. (Or it got fucked up a long long time ago, and not today)
 
Should be, but PSO-World is not exactly known for 100% accuracy.

The rates on the E1/2 enemies are ripped directly from the GC .gsl file, so they are 100% accurate.

But moving along, the 2016 Ephinea Christmas Event has ended! We hoped you enjoyed the event, apologies for the lack of activity during Christmas, retail work is a killer during the holidays.

We've updated a few things today, some controversial, here is the changelist:
  • Hunters Boost Road has been changed from the WoL series to the Boss Rush series (Towards the Future, Respective Tomorrow and Point of Disaster)
  • ELENOR, Angel's Wings and Devil's Wings can now be equipped by all classes.
  • Episode 1 and 2 boss drop rates have been revamped.*
  • Slight Episode 4 drop rate tweaks.**
  • Clio is now equippable by HUnewearl.***
* For the most part, the drop rates from the bosses have been buffed across the board, with a few exceptions:

- Purplenum Sil Dragon has been changed from Heavenly/HP to Dragon's Claw
- Purplenum Gal Gryphon has been changed from Gal Gryphon's Wing to Heavenly/HP
- Redria Vol Opt Ver. 2 has been changed from God/HP to Heavenly/HP
- Red Ring has been lowered somewhat drastically to reflect its usefulness

** Small buffs.

- Skyly Lame D'Argent is now 1/1024 (from 1/1575)
- Ba Boota Heaven Striker is now 1/2925 (from 1/3900)
- Greenill Daylight Scar is now 1/930 (from 1/1024)
- Oran Daylight Scar is now 1/1204 (from 1/1600)

*** I understand this is a very controversial change, but after lengthy discussion about it, we feel this was really a necessity as everything about Clio made absolutely no sense and was always a hot topic of discussion through all of PSOBB's life span. We decided it was time to end it, and not by removing Clio from RAmarl.

Do note that nothing else will be changing equipment wise (unless it is purely cosmetic, such as the mags).
Did you guys discuss POM drops at all?
 
Somebody had to leave our ep4 game as they did not have PoD unlocked. A bit unfair that not everyone can do it no? Can't get any hbr points...

I do agree that, from a Lore standpoint, Whitill's RR drop should be a bit better. Whitill isn't that great of an Ep. 1 / 2 ID. It's Ep. 4 drops are decent, but by no means the best.

It's not just lore. It used to be 1/32 or something while the other IDs were 1/64. Then Sodaboy changed it because 1/32 is ridiculous (to 1/64), I complained, people agreed with me, and it got changed to like 1/56 or something (while the other IDs remained 1/64).

Then one day, during one of the many drop chart changes, it accidentally got changed back to 1/64 (probably from copy/pasting an old chart), and never fixed.

Whitill red ring was the best rate on Ephinea (by a slight margin) for a long time. But it was insignificant enough that people would still hunt it on the other IDs too.

(To make sure that one vol opt drop was the only one that got zeroed?)
 
The Whitill RR rate boost was lost in an accident, but unless there is absolute 100% confirmation that Whitill had a better RR drop rate on Sega BB (there isn't) then we will not be mirroring it again.

It was a change made mostly due to community peer pressure. The "Whitill has a better RR rate" thing is a PSO old wives' tale that's carried on through these past years, saying RR had a better drop rate on Whitill because Rico is a Whitill, so people would only ever hunt it on Whitill and not any other ID.

You can say "but according to the lore" all you want, but giving one specific ID access to a better RR drop than the others is pretty silly from an actual mechanical perspective. It makes the other RR drops be less desirable, no matter what other things you could find along the way.

E: Also, only Ultimate has been touched, so other difficulties should be fine unless Matt is worse at this than we once suspected.
