Is the Ephinea game download safe?

Is there any malware or spyware in the game download that will mess a computer up?

No. Anything that shows up in AV is a false positive due to how the game loads things into memory. There are no harmful files. You will have to make an exception in your file system shield of your AV because of this though, this happens with all the private PSO servers so its not uncommon.

Ephinea and Ultima I can vouch for being legit.

Will confirm. The download itself is safe. Sometimes AV throws a false positive, ignore it for the most part. Sometimes it will throw a false positive for the game in the future as well. You will need to put the game on the ignore list to avoid future issues.

Was gonna reply something like "why'd you even ask that"... but I know your concern.

Personally I have had literally only 1 instance of an antivirus complaining about the game (in my pc), but as others have said.
