Hi everyone!
I've been running into an issue when trying to play. I play as a RAmar and find that the game will crash randomly when I shoot. I find I can reproduce this by shooting in such a way that the screen shows a lot of my gun's beam at once, like shooting to the left or right of the screen. It has done it when the beam goes diagonally toward the screen as well, but I can most reliably reproduce this by just warping to the forest, turning to the right, and shooting. The game then crashes entirely back to windows.
Here's what I've done so far so we can rule it out:
restarting the game
restarting the computer
turning off DEP per the FAQ
turning off shaders
turning off motion blur
turning off modern features
turning off antivirus
set psobb.exe to compatibility mode Windows XP SP3
run as admin
do a complete uninstall/reinstall
run at a lower resolution
run at fullscreen and virtual fullscreen to see if there's a difference
try a different gun
update graphics card drivers
check for corruption in windows
try running from online_win7.exe
closed all unnecessary background programs
When it crashes it generates two logs over two seconds:
Running Windows 10
Here's a screen I caught, it sticks here for a second and then crashes.
If anybody has any idea what could fix this I'd appreciate your input. Thanks!
