analog camera control ftw

one of the best features i've seen added to the game like ever, it's so very nice, huge improvement, kissing ender on the mouth etc etc

Yup. It’s freaking epic brosef.

Let’s cross our fingers and hope for top-down mode next…

Probably not.

But I was thinking I might add the mousewheel camera positions to some text config file at some point (along with a hundred other hardcoded things, but probably not for a while because of other things to do). If/when that's implemented, you could probably achieve this but it'll look absolutely horrible in pretty much every map except Forest, Temple, CCA, and EP4.

Ah shit well that was my next question would be if it would be ok to hack our clients ourselves so we can do this. The other thing I was thinking was if it would be possible to lock the camera in /cam mode to track the character still. This way we could play from any angle imaginable.

I have these settings turned on but i still cannot control the camera with my right ananlog stick on my xbox controller ingame. idk what i am doing wrong, please help me!! xD i am new to this private server stuff btw.
You need to bind Right Analog Left/Right in the ingame options (Home/F12 -> Options -> Pad Button Config -> Custom).

This is such an amazing feature, thank you!

I notice that by default for me it is set to inverted axis, is there any way to reverse the camera controls?

Reverse your analog sensitivity in the launcher options (e.g. if it's 5, make it -5).

Any hope for vertical analog control in the future?
(I know the game isn't designed for that, but it would still be nice to have complete freedom to look all around.)
