Well then if he decides to start up again, he can rebuy enough items to be decently strong. But yes, it definitely looks like a quit to me as it's unlikely someone would have all this stuff to sell just randomly. He could also be trying to find out what his net worth is in doing this to see how much he's accomplished. Or he wants his gear to live on in a worthy player. Although it may just all go to someone that intends to resell it all for an attempted profit.
