Most likely you tried to say something and the prompt window pops, which results in you getting soft locked. Avoid talking until the death animation completes and the prompt appears. Someone will fix it someday, maybe, or just change how TTF/MAE4/LHP handles it...

Turn off DoF and AO. Lower shadows setting from the highest slider. BB will run (mostly) okay at 5-7TDP with 2x MSAA (sometimes I'll get dips in chaotic CCA/Seabed situations but nothing unplayable.) AF is negligible; you can put it at 16x although you probably wouldn't notice any difference...
