Self-Damage-Cancel on Multi-Hit-Attacks

I just realized that Multi-Hit attacks seem to be not working properly right now. I have tested all this on FOnewearl.

The last to hits of a Double Saber attack will regularly be cancelled. The HP jumps down, up, and then stays at the same value. The enemy still dies when it reaches 0 HP according to the reader, so it is not a bug with that.

I also tested this witch Mechguns - and it can happen there too. During the first Normal attack, the hits can cancel themselves out. It does not happen as frequently as with the Double Saber, but frequently enough.

Weapons used for testing were Vivienne and Charge Gattlings.
Maybe the hits are cancelled out when they do the same amount of damage? I don't know.

I will test it on FOmar now to see if Male animations also have this problem. Update will follow.

//UPDATE

I just tested this with the male Mechgun and Double Saber animations. Mechgun has the same problem. Double Saber also cancels the last hit very often.

Testing was done both on Fodra and Lumireis (so it isn't my connection); in Single Player Mode and in Multi Mode; with V101 attack speed. I tested it in Caves, Ruins, and Sub Deser Lizards. It might just be my imagiation, but Lumireis might have cancelled my male Double Saber attack less frequently.

tl;dr
It seems that multi-hit weapons are currently bugged (at least for some people) and will cancel themselves out sometimes. The best way too see this is with FOnewearl's and all characters that share her Double Saber attack animation. The last two hits are frequently cancelled (especially Hard attacks). You need the "Monster HP Reader" to see all this, of course.

Thank you letting us know!!
Sounds pretty bad indeed.. ill try with mechguns on my RAcaseal when i get home.

This has been known since the latest release of Ephinea's DMC fix implementation. It has been talked about in-game and on Ephinea's Discord server.

I guess no one bothered to bring up this topic on the forums until now.

Oh, wow, good to know. I rarely am on Discord so I must have missed that.

Guess it's good to have a "Bug Report" now, though. I wonder if anything can be done about that.
