"Key" item command.

Hi Team,

I think it would be a good idea to add a command so that a person can see how many key items they have on them (items that don't occupy an inventory slot).

The command could be something like "/keyitem" and would display:

1. MA4 Tickets
2. PW / VR Lucky Coins
3. MA2v2 Tickets (and possibly MA1v2 tickets, I can't remember if MA1v2 gives tickets, too; I think it does because they were part of the same event back on Vanilla)
4. And any others I forgot or that may need to be added later

The key items on hand could scroll as a banner across the top of the screen just like the "/hbr" command.

Your thoughts? Thanks for any feedback.

I think it'd be good to have some sort of implementation of this. I'm all for it.

I'd also like to ask our resident tech guys if it's possible to display information like this in a window similar to the one that pops up when you press F1. Using banners for these commands is a neat concept, but they're pretty sluggish.

The reason they're not in windows is because they're abusable to glitch cutscenes mostly.

Though if restricted to Lobby/Pioneer 2 it can't be too much of an issue, but then people might complain about not being able to view in the map...

Yeah, sounds like a pickle. Maybe one of the following would work?

  • Have the command trigger a banner off of Pioneer 2, and a window on Pioneer 2 / in the lobby.
  • Have the command trigger both by default, but restrict it to banner only off of Pioneer 2.
  • Have two separate commands for each; one for a window (P2/Lobby only), one for a banner.

Thoughts?

Well, even being able to check it in the lobby only would be great. Right now, the only way to check is to actually go into Deep Sea Rendezvous or Gallon's Shop. I'm happy either way :D

Also, would it be possible to jack the key item limit way up? (ie. 999 coins and 999 tickets?) No biggie but it would be cool.

I've recently been manually writing mine down. I would love this.

Or like HBR, have 1 command for banner displayed anywhere typed and have a viewable list via the counter in lobby.

For the lobby, this could be part of the mythical "Statistics" tab that is happening someday :3
