Cannot enter character name during creation

Good morning peops! I played PSO on the Dreamcast many years ago and wish to get involved again.

I try and create a character and after signing in it will not take input in the character create "name" screen. However I could type my username and password just a few menus before.

Perhaps someone could offer some help?
 
Hmm, if you're using IME then switch it off in the launcher options until you get your character created, I remember this being an issue for someone in the past.
