If there is a new current highest bid (CHB) when there are less than 24 hours left in an auction, the countdown is reset to 24 hours. The countdown is reset regardless of how many times it's been reset previously.

Auction resets are 24 hours only. A 48 hour reset time isn't permitted. The 24-hour reset window would've begun on Wednesday at 10:46 PM EST, 48 hours after Cutty's first bid. No one placed a bid after Cutty's 500 PD bid at 5:17 PM on that day until 45 minutes ago; this bid should've won the auction by now.

I have been bidding under the impression I had 48 hours. Is this auction void or does Cutty win due to the sellers improper ruleset?

This is how the auction looks to me IT clearly says that there is a 48 hour reset. Not looking to argue just showing what I see on my end in case there is a edit.

The seller specifying an improper reset time doesn't automatically void the entire auction. Everyone is expected to read and understand the auction rules – that's why the thread title says "READ THIS FIRST!!!"

Like I said in my initial post, the 500 PD bid should win this.

Ok incase this is a overturn of these rules I bid 551 PD . I was planning on offering the buyout of 800 if the auction got to about 700 and there was still competition.

I will respect the staffs ruling on this but sucks for the auctioneer he lost upwards of 300 pds. If he ends up selling this for 500 it's going to be a shame as there are current bids over that. But I will respect the staffs ruling on this no matter what it is.

Just in case the auction is still on I just want to clearly state:

It's not on. The rule was recently instituted specifically to avoid confusion like this.
