I know there's an optional name change already prior to reaching Lv20, but I wish there were a way to change a characters name after that point. Maybe it could cost meseta like the dressing room used to be? Or perhaps an unlockable feature for clans? I don't know. Wishing upon a star...
I only played on Dreamcast a few times on my friend's account as a HUmar named Goku (I'm sure there were no other HUmars with that name EVER =P), but I was on Gamecube as a RAmar named Burden, a HUmar named Rain, and a RAcast named B42000 if you played that.
It's been ages since I've played PSO on Dreamcast, but I remember that everyone was a HUmar. I was reluctant to ever make one because of the HUmars overpopulating Dreamcast and Gamecube, but I read that HUmar's stats on Dreamcast were way better than the later releases of PSO, which kind of...
The chasing of the tail is about a trick the dog's mind plays on it, or an exercise in futility, because the dog will never catch its tail because it can't reach it and the tail is not another animal if that's what the dog believes it to be...I was comparing this to the human tendency to search...
Our brains are designed to organize things in such a way that information corresponds to our sense, and inferring meaning and imposing the concept of understanding upon things makes things processable to us. I see the search for meaning in anything that is not human or of human origin as our...
Hmm I'm out of my intellectual league here, but it seems to me that you are defining inherent function as meaning i.e. chemicals and sunlight. Meaning still seems like a human contrivance to me; an imaginary extension of function, or a romanticization thereof.
Meaning is a human contrivance that the mind projects onto, and then infers from a world that exists as a result of chemical interactions and alien bioengineering =P
Besides PSO, I play classic RPGs. Playing FFIX, FFX, Dragon Quest VIII, Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga 2, Legaia 2: Duel Saga, and I just finished the classic Phantasy Star 2. Oh, and...Shadow Madness >.>
I had a friend who owned the game on Dreamcast and I'd use his character to troll people and he didn't want me playing as his char anymore haha Then when it was re-released on GC I got a copy and played via dial up and was completely immersed. I'm an RPG connoisseur and I feel that PSO does a...
With the same max stats and less material usage, wouldn't it be more difficult to max? I've never found Red Ring and don't plan on as part of my stat plans. I think cutting off the last 50 levels would make it much less of a grind. Once a char's into the 130s or so, levels start to take a while.
I was just wondering whether each of the classes requires the same amount of EXP from level to level. I guess I could find out by starting new chars and paying attention, but I don't wanna. It makes sense to me if HUnters require less than RAngers, because it's more difficult for them to tag...
