I've been trying to find a fix for this and I believe it's a win10 problem, since the pc I had before was win7, and you could still hear the in game sound while being tabbed out.

Thought I would see if the community had one before I dump 99pds into the abyss.

Oh I thought you said something was going to be fixed in the next maintenance or something. That's part of the reason why I said that.

I'm not entirely sure how to help you out, I have in the past run a dual client to do exactly what you have described. Usually a direct 3d error is caused from a driver being out of date or missing and it could even be a missing dll file within the program. I suppose you could try reinstalling...

They usually keep it open all year, although it might be down temporarily after the event to fix some issues people have been having with it.
