    Challenge mode question

With only two players, most stages take around 45 minutes, but some of them take over an hour. You probably want to assemble a group of 4 players, because it makes things go much faster. You'll be way over your 30 minute limit if you attempt it with only two people, especially in Ruins 3 and Seabed.

A new way to play PSO! "Ironman" mode.

If you can't trade, you can only have two per character - one from each episode.

    Paganini's Holiday [Mag] (Model Injection)

Please tell me the red boxes start spinning around him when you're invincible. :D

    Offline

You'd have to run your own server with separate characters.

    PSOBB on Switch Homebrew

You can already play DC online on the Switch. GC may work someday, but BB never will.

A new way to play PSO! "Ironman" mode.

That's easy enough to accomplish. Disable the common bank but permit drop trading between your characters. It allows you to move important stuff once while making sharing the same item between all of your characters too tedious to be practical.

A new way to play PSO! "Ironman" mode.

IMHO you should allow trading between your characters but forbid Section ID changes. If you can change your ID, you have no need to make more than one character, which greatly reduces the time required to hunt the items you want. As long as you have to raise a new character to access a new ID...

Possible to Play on a Tablet?

You can play Dreamcast and GameCube under Android via emulation, but since BB is x86 only, I don't think there's a solution for that.

    Tidy the floor

That's a server bug, then. The game is able to track 50 items per floor only. When a new player joins the team, he needs to receive the list of items on each floor to keep everything in sync between all players. If some players have more items on the floor than others, you're probably going to...

    Tidy the floor

Yes, there is. The item limit is 50 per floor. When you hit 50 items, old items are deleted to make room for new ones. If you remove Meseta drops, you'll just get 50 item boxes on the floor that are things other than Meseta. It'll take longer to hit 50 items than it did before, but if the quest...

    Tidy the floor

Nope. Item pickups are always A, so you can put normal attack on X or B to reduce the problem. You could also not play shitfests if you can't handle all the drops they generate. Disabling Meseta drops wouldn't help; the floor would just get covered in 33% more weapon, guard, and tool boxes, instead.

    Tidy the floor

Don't put normal attack on the A button. Problem solved.

Event weapon drops and overall progression.

Well, at least she's not lonely anymore. There's no such thing as high level play, really. The game is not conducive to TA, because of how strong the enemies are. Freeze Trap is helpful, but most of the enemies will still be alive when it wears off, so it doesn't give you free kills for an...

Event weapon drops and overall progression.

That's not quite what I was getting at. HUmar and HUnewearl are mocked for having no strengths compared to HUcast. Forces bring Shifta 30, which is beneficial. Of course HUnewearl will do more damage than a Force (except maybe FOmar, depending on level and equipment), but you'd still do even...

Event weapon drops and overall progression.

Sega decided to close the gap between Very Hard and Ultimate in GC by nerfing the enemy stats and the weapon stats. Low to mid tier rares now have around the same stats as common weapons, and the enemies are scaled to match, so doing damage is no sweat. This fixed the problem of Ultimate being...

Event weapon drops and overall progression.

The original meta does indeed hold lessons. V2 Ultimate has DFP difficulty, whereas GC uses EVP difficulty. DC Ultimate is hard at first, but once you get some basic weapons like Imperial Pick, missing is no longer a problem. DC Ultimate demands that you use rare weapons in order to get...

Event weapon drops and overall progression.

You're correct regarding the meta 10+ years ago, but I was talking about the current Dreamcast PSO meta. Most of the active players use my mod that fixes the stats on V1 weapons so they are usable in Ultimate (which I also buffed), as well as making it possible to find more weapons besides Red...

Event weapon drops and overall progression.

I feel compelled to point out that this is basically the Dreamcast PSO meta. People love to shit on DC for having less content and terrible drop rates (which I long ago fixed, so that point is kind of moot now), but the original PSO incarnation does hold some lessons regarding what Sega did...

Never played PSO and I’m new to the game

The GC population has been rising with the release of BBA support for Nintendont. You can now play online with Wii and Wii U without needing a physical disc. GameCube and Dolphin still work, too. Scht hit 30 GC players online the other night.
