I've found that if you cast gifoie too early, and it reaches the point where they spawn (meaning the starting point of their RUSH-IN) they will just run through and troll you. But that's just anecdotal evidence ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Do you have any skins installed? Or any modifications made to your game? Usually a bad mod will cause PSO to throw a hissy-fit and crash. If you have no mods, try reinstalling the game.

Maxing your MST will help as well. If you want to be super tryhard technuke FO, it might be worth looking into making a fonewm. - Gets more MST than FOmar - Gets ra-tech boost as well as gi-tech boost like fomar.
